A bird called Sparrow

Title:: A little bird called Sparrow

When I was little and young
A small fluffy bird always sung
A little bird called Sparrow
I used to see it ages ago

Covered with brown and gray coat
With dark patches at his throat
Chirping, flitting near my window
Looking for seeds and grain below

The season has changed now
Where have you gone all alone
Your double chirp call note
A song you sung and I wrote

O my little bird, are you homeless
In the middle of this concrete jungle mess
There are no trees for you to nest
No more bushes for you to sing and rest

You were once so close to Human habitat
Always flew on my window sill and sat
You were my best friend and so distinct
Are you on the verge of extinct??

Is it the malls & amusement parks,
Is it the skyscrapers & glass landmarks,
Or is it too much vehicular traffic
Is it Human that led to this tragic

Is it the highways & mobile phone towers
I see no more nests alongside the rivers
Is it the air and noise pollution
That's driven you to extinction

Today I sit with my grandchild
Telling about you, so little so mild
A little bird called Sparrow
I used to see it ages ago

All of a sudden, I see you fly & sit
Just next to me in this moonlit
Again singing in your own tune and voices
Where you had been all these ages

I see you flutter chirp again
Your little eyes search for the grain
To see you today is such a delight
A moment to remember in my twilight

My eyes are filled with tears and happiness
I don't know what to say I m wordless
Has human realized his mistakes that you survive
I see you singing, I see you alive

My grandchild looked at me and smiled
Said it was really a beautiful bird
He liked you more and adored
As the song you sang he heard

The Grandpa saw a bird so real
The bird he sung with, so special
His grandchild made a magic
A 3d animation was his pure trick
